Who LinkedIn Ads genuinely suits
LinkedIn is the platform where people are in a work mindset, with their job title and employer on show. That makes it useful for B2B lead generation in Chennai when your buyer is a person with a role, not a person with a hobby.

B2B services and professional firms
Consultants, accountants, legal and compliance firms, IT services companies, HR and payroll providers and agencies that sell to other companies. Your buyer has a clear job title, and LinkedIn can reach that title directly.
SaaS and software products
Products sold to a department head or founder, such as accounting, HR, sales or operations software. Demo requests and trial sign-ups are the usual goal.
Education, training and recruitment
Corporate training, executive education, professional certification and hiring campaigns can reach working people by role, experience and industry. We check the offer first, since a course for school leavers belongs on a different platform.
Why recruitment sits here too
Employers who need niche skills can reach professionals by job function and seniority, which is hard on consumer platforms. Hiring ads follow different rules from lead ads, so we plan them as a separate campaign.
Manufacturing, export and industrial suppliers
Chennai has a large base of industrial and engineering businesses selling to buyers, purchase heads and plant managers in other companies. If your customers are companies, LinkedIn deserves a test.
What you are actually paying an agency for
You are paying for judgement more than for button-pushing. Anyone can click Promote on a post. A good agency decides who should see the ad, what it should say, where the enquiry should land and how to read the numbers afterwards, especially when each click costs more than it does elsewhere.
Targeting that is narrow enough, but not too narrow
Too broad wastes money on people who can never buy. Too narrow leaves the platform with an audience too small to deliver at all. Finding the middle is most of the skill.
Offers that a senior person will answer
A decision-maker does not fill in a form for a brochure. They respond to something specific, such as a short audit, a benchmark, a sample report or a call about one problem.
Measurement and honesty
Setting up tracking properly and then reporting what it shows, including the weak weeks.
What honest reporting contains
Spend, leads, cost per lead and which ads produced them. It should also say how many leads were genuine, which only your sales team can tell us.
Why vanity numbers mislead
Impressions, likes and follower counts are easy to inflate and rarely connect to revenue. We show them only as context.
Cost per genuine lead, and later cost per meeting booked. If an agency cannot give you this, treat that as a warning sign.
Ad spend for the month divided by the leads you confirm as real. It needs a short note from your team every week, which is why we ask for it.
Questions that separate a good agency from a weak one
Ask these on the first call. The answers tell you more than any portfolio slide.
Who will touch my account?
In many agencies the person selling is not the person working. At AtherFlow, Digital Raghavan builds and manages every account himself, and we take only 4 clients at a time so that stays true.
Who owns the ad account?
You should. Your ad accounts stay in your name, so the audiences, history and data remain yours if we ever part ways.
Is ad spend marked up?
It should be paid by you directly to the platform. We never mark it up, and you can see every rupee spent in your own account.
Will you tell me if LinkedIn is the wrong choice?
A good agency will. If your buyer is a consumer or a small local shop, we will say so and point you toward Meta Ads or Google Ads instead.
Red flags to walk away from
A guaranteed number of leads, a guaranteed cost per lead or a promise of meetings within days is not honest. Nobody controls how a busy procurement head or founder responds to an ad. Be equally careful of agencies that report only impressions and clicks, that will not show you the ad account, or that ask you to pay ad spend to them instead of to the platform.
Credentials, and what they do not prove
Our founder holds Google Ads Performance Specialist and Meta Ads Performance Specialist certificates from Digital Scholar. We do not claim a LinkedIn certificate. A certificate shows platform fundamentals were learned, not that campaigns will work for you, so judge us by the questions above and by the real client work in our portfolio.
